Dr. Hyo-won Kang
Tradition, clinical experience, and sincere care.
A third-generation practitioner brings a family tradition of medicine into a modern, whole-person practice.

Background
Meet Dr. Hyo-won Kang
Born in Korea, Dr. Kang studied theology at Sungwha Theology, completed a Master’s degree in Oriental Medicine at Samra Acupuncture School, and pursued doctoral studies in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine at South Baylor Acupuncture School.
He grew up in a family of traditional practitioners and learned acupuncture and herbal medicine from an early age. His later studies included therapeutic massage, osteopathy, and spiritual healing under several mentors.
Dr. Kang uses pulse diagnosis, physical palpation, and careful conversation to understand each patient’s health picture. He begins diagnosis and treatment with prayer, while recognizing the limits of every practitioner and approaching each person with humility, sincerity, and dedication.

Care philosophy
Why choose Dr. Kang?
As a third-generation practitioner with 28 years of clinical experience, Dr. Kang brings traditional medicine into a modern, patient-centered setting.
His assessments consider constitution, diet, lifestyle, family history, life circumstances, and environmental factors. Pulse diagnosis and palpation are used alongside a detailed health history to guide an individualized care plan.
The goal is thoughtful, attentive support—not a one-size-fits-all protocol or a promise of a particular result.

Whole-person care
Chronic & complex conditions
Long-standing health concerns often involve several factors, including genetics, lifestyle, aging, inflammation, circulation, immune function, and nervous-system balance. They deserve a comprehensive approach and appropriate medical evaluation.
Dr. Kang offers personalized, integrative support that may complement care from primary-care physicians, specialists, oncology teams, neurologists, and mental-health professionals. Acupuncture does not replace emergency care or treatment for serious disease.
The aim is to help patients manage symptoms, support daily function, and pursue a better quality of life as part of a coordinated care plan.
Begin with a thoughtful conversation.
